Newfoundland Screech-In Kiss the Cod

A host recites a short welcoming rhyme to each new player, calling them an 'honorary local.'

The new player must answer a set of two or three playful trivia questions about local sayings or geography.

Whether they answer correctly or not, they complete the ritual by giving the toy fish a friendly kiss.

The group cheers and welcomes them with a round of applause.

Continue until every newcomer has been welcomed in.
