MATERIALS
- A carved wooden board with two rows of pits, or holes scooped into the ground
- Small seeds or pebbles as counters
HOW TO PLAY
1
Distribute an equal number of seeds into each pit along both players' rows before starting.
2
On your turn, scoop up all seeds from one pit on your side and sow them one at a time into the pits that follow, moving around the board.
3
If your final seed lands in an opponent's pit that reaches a capturing count, take all the seeds from that pit for your own store.
4
Look for opportunities to chain captures backward through multiple loaded pits on the opponent's side in the same turn.
5
The round ends once one side's row is completely empty and can no longer be played from.
6
The player who has captured the greater number of seeds by that point wins the game.
