MATERIALS
- A hammer per competitor
- A wooden block or beam

HOW TO PLAY
1
Each competitor is given a wooden block with a nail started just enough to stand upright on its own.
2
On the starting signal, the competitor swings the hammer to drive the nail flush with the surface of the wood.
3
A bent nail may be straightened and continued, but any nail that cannot be recovered ends that competitor's attempt.
4
The time stops the moment the nail head is driven flush with the wood.
5
The competitor who drives their nail flush in the fastest time, or with the fewest hammer strikes if timed rounds are equal, wins the contest.
