MATERIALS
- A board with two rows of pits, or holes scooped into sand
- Seeds, dried beans, or small stones as counters
HOW TO PLAY
1
Fill each pit along both rows with the same starting number of seeds.
2
Take turns lifting all the seeds from one of your pits and dropping them one by one into the pits that follow.
3
Watch for a chance to end your sowing in a pit on your opponent's side that leaves it with a capturable count, then take those seeds.
4
Set captured seeds aside instead of returning them to the board.
5
Keep alternating turns until one player's row can no longer be played.
6
Count the captured seeds; the larger total wins.
