MATERIALS
- A 36-card deck (6 through Ace in each suit)
- Paper and pencil for scoring
HOW TO PLAY
1
Deal all cards evenly among the players and turn the last card to set the trump suit.
2
On their turn, a player may declare a "marriage" by showing a king and queen of the same suit, scoring bonus points, with the suit becoming the new trump if it differs from the current one.
3
Players lead and follow cards, trying to win tricks with the highest card of the suit led or with a trump if unable to follow suit.
4
Certain marriages are worth more points than others depending on whether the suit matches the current trump.
5
Once all cards are played, points from won tricks and declared marriages are totaled, and the highest score wins the round.
