Mangala
- A mangala board with two rows of six pits
- 48 small stones or beads
Two rows of six pits facing each other, no separate store pits used in the basic version.
Place four stones in every pit at the start of the game.
On your turn, pick up all the stones from one pit on your side and drop them one by one into the following pits, moving counterclockwise.
If your final stone lands in a pit on your opponent's side that then contains an even number of stones, capture all the stones in that pit.
Check the pit before the captured one too; if it also ends with an even count on the opponent's side, capture that as well, continuing the chain.
Captured stones are set aside as your points for the round.
When one side can no longer move, the other player takes any remaining stones on their own side, and the player with the most captured stones wins.
