- A djembe drum or any surface to tap
HOW TO PLAY
1
Players dance freely around the space while the djembe plays a steady beat.
2
The drummer occasionally plays a sharp signature strike known as the freeze call.
3
On hearing the freeze call, every dancer must stop instantly in whatever position they're in.
4
Anyone still moving after the call sits out for the next round.
5
The drummer resumes the beat for the remaining dancers, continuing until only a few are left.
