HOW TO PLAY
1

Set up each side's pieces on their two closest rows, placing pawns on the third row instead of the second.

2

Players alternate moving one piece per turn, each piece following its own movement pattern.

3

Capture an opponent's piece by moving onto the square it occupies.

4

When a pawn reaches the sixth row, promote it to a queen (met).

5

Checkmate the opposing king, leaving it with no safe move, to win the game.

6

A counting rule can force a draw if a lone king can't be checkmated within an agreed number of moves.
