DIFFICULTY
SETTING
Outdoor
MATERIALS
- A padded vertical pole (a wrapped PVC pipe works well)
- A thick crash mat or soft ground beneath the pole
- Chalk or grip powder
MEASUREMENTS
Pole 6-8 feet tall
HOW TO PLAY
1
Set the padded pole firmly upright over a cushioned landing surface with a spotter standing by.
2
Each competitor climbs the pole using arms and legs, gripping with knees or ankles once they reach a comfortable height.
3
Once secure, the climber holds a controlled pose (such as a tucked seat or extended arm) for a count of five without slipping.
4
Judges score each attempt on how high the climber reached, how steady the held pose was, and how controlled the descent was.
5
Every participant gets two attempts, and the highest scoring attempt determines the winner.
