Métis Jigging Footwork Contest

Each dancer takes a turn performing quick, intricate footwork steps in place to the fiddle music.

Steps should stay light and close to the ground, with the upper body relaxed and still.

The group watches and claps along, marking especially clean or fast footwork.

After everyone has had a solo turn, two top performers face off in a final footwork duel.

The group decides the winner by applause based on speed, precision, and energy.
