Méta
- Small rubber ball
- Wooden bat or paddle
- Marker cones or chalk for bases
Open field roughly 30-40 meters long with a batting line at one end and a turning mark at the other
Split into a striking team and a fielding team, with the fielding team spread across the open field.
A striker on the batting team throws the ball up and hits it out into the field with the bat or an open palm.
After striking, the runner sprints to the far turning mark and back to the batting line before the fielders can act.
Fielders try to catch the struck ball before it lands, or field it and throw it to hit the runner while between marks, either of which puts the runner out.
Teams swap striking and fielding roles once a set number of outs is reached, and whichever team scores more completed runs across the innings wins.
Optional: allow a second striker to run at the same time once several players have safely reached the far mark, speeding up the scoring.
