- A tall smooth pole
- Cooking oil, soap, or grease to coat the pole
- A small prize or flag to attach at the top
- Mats or cushions at the base
HOW TO PLAY
1
Coat the pole thoroughly with oil or grease from top to bottom.
2
Attach a small prize, flag, or marker at the very top of the pole.
3
Players take turns attempting to climb the slippery pole using whatever grip and technique they can manage.
4
Sliding back down counts as a failed attempt, and the next player takes a turn.
5
Whoever manages to climb high enough to reach the top and claim the prize wins.
