Lingala Echo Game

Players stand in a circle, and one player is chosen to start as the caller.

The caller sings or chants a short phrase paired with a simple hand or body movement.

The rest of the circle immediately echoes the phrase and movement back together as closely as they can.

The caller then changes the phrase and movement slightly, speeding up or adding a twist each round.

Anyone who echoes incorrectly or lags noticeably behind steps back from the circle for that round.

The game continues until only a few sharp players remain, and one of them becomes the new caller.
