La Coinche

Deal all cards to four players seated as two partnerships across from each other.

Going around the table, each player bids a suit and a point target they believe their team can reach, or passes.

Any player may "coinche" (double) an opponent's bid to raise the stakes if they believe it will fail.

The highest bidder's suit becomes trump, and that team must reach their declared point total from the tricks they win.

Play out all eight tricks, following suit when possible and using trump cards to win otherwise.

Tally each team's card points; the bidding team scores only if they met their target, otherwise the points go to their opponents.
