L'Épervier (The Sparrowhawk)

One player is chosen as the sparrowhawk and stands alone in the middle strip between two boundary lines.

All other players start behind one line and must all run to the opposite line when the sparrowhawk calls out to begin.

The sparrowhawk tries to tag as many runners as possible while they cross the open middle ground.

Anyone tagged joins the sparrowhawk in the middle, helping tag runners on the next crossing.

Runners keep crossing back and forth each round until only one uncaught player remains, who becomes the new sparrowhawk.
