Dig or draw a small shallow hole in the dirt, or agree on a target circle, as the goal for the round.

Each player takes turns flicking their marble with a thumb, aiming to land it inside the hole or circle.

Players may instead choose to knock an opponent's marble away from the goal if it sits closer than their own.

Landing a marble squarely in the hole scores a point and lets that player claim an opponent's marble as a prize.

Continue for an agreed number of rounds, and whoever has collected the most marbles at the end wins.
