Kolo

Form a circle or a line, joining hands or holding the belts of your neighbors.

Watch the dancer at the front of the line, who leads the group through the step pattern and chooses when to change direction.

Step together to the rhythm, weaving a few steps to one side and back, staying light on your feet.

Keep the circle connected and moving as one, adjusting your spacing as dancers join or leave.

Let the leader introduce small flourishes or footwork that ripple down the line for the group to copy.

Continue until the music ends, then reform for another round with a new leader if you like.
