Koi-Koi (Hanafuda Card Game)

Deal eight cards to each player and place eight more face-up in the middle.

On your turn, play a card from your hand that shares the same flower suit as a card on the table, capturing the pair.

Draw a card from the remaining deck and try to match it into the table cards as well.

Group captured cards into scoring combinations, such as sets of bright cards, animal cards, or ribbon cards.

Once you complete a scoring combination, choose to call 'koi-koi' to keep playing for a bigger score, or end the round to lock in points immediately.

Play continues across several hands until an agreed point total or number of rounds is reached.
