Dig a small starting hole and rest the short wooden peg across its edge.

Tap one end of the peg with the long stick to flip it into the air.

While the peg is airborne, strike it as far as possible with the stick.

Opposing players try to catch the peg before it lands to end the batter's turn immediately.

If uncaught, pace off the landing distance to score points, then rotate to the next batter.
