MATERIALS
- A short wooden peg tapered at both ends
- A long stick for striking
HOW TO PLAY
1
Place the tapered peg on the ground and strike one tapered end sharply with the stick to pop it into the air.
2
While the peg is airborne, hit it again with the stick to send it flying as far as possible across the field.
3
Other players try to catch the flying peg before it lands to end the turn early and take over as the striker.
4
If uncaught, the striker measures the distance in stick-lengths and adds it to their running total score.
5
After an agreed number of turns each, the player with the highest total distance wins.
