Draw a numbered grid of connected squares on the ground with chalk or a stick.

The first player tosses the marker stone into square one without touching any lines.

That player hops through the grid on one foot, skipping the square holding the marker.

On the way back, the player bends to pick up the marker while still balancing on one foot.

Players take turns advancing to the next numbered square each round, and stepping on a line or losing balance ends the turn.
