MATERIALS
- A carved wooden board with rows of pits
- 32 or more seeds or small stones as counters
HOW TO PLAY
1
Each player controls the row of pits nearest to them, filled at the start with an agreed number of seeds.
2
On your turn, pick up all seeds from one pit and sow them one at a time into the next pits in a fixed direction.
3
Landing your last seed in an opposing pit under the right conditions lets you capture that pit's contents.
4
Captured seeds go into a personal pile that is only counted at the end of the game.
5
Players keep sowing and capturing in turns until neither side can make a further legal move.
6
The player who has collected the most seeds overall wins the round.
