HOW TO PLAY

Dancers link arms or hold hands in a long line or open circle.

Step sideways together, adding a small hop or kick on the accented beat of the music.

The dancer at the head of the line may raise a handkerchief and lead the group into loops or turns.

The line follows every direction change made by the leader without breaking the chain.

The dance speeds up gradually until the music ends, finishing with everyone in a tight circle.
