HOW TO PLAY
1
Both practitioners begin with a formal salute to the training space and to each other.
2
Warm up through the traditional sequence of low stances, kicks, and flowing steps.
3
Face off in a controlled mock duel, exchanging padded strikes and blocks with empty hands or practice weapons.
4
Move fluidly between offense and defense, relying on flexibility and footwork rather than brute force.
5
The instructor calls a halt whenever contact becomes too forceful or a clear advantage is landed.
6
Close the mock duel with another mutual salute, regardless of who held the advantage.
