HOW TO PLAY
1
Explain that Manau festivals center on tall decorated poles around which whole communities dance in weaving lines.
2
Plant a few poles upright in the ground or hold them steady as markers.
3
Players form a long line, hands joined, and weave the line around and between the poles in a snaking path.
4
The line leader decides the path, and everyone else follows without letting go of hands.
5
If the chain breaks, pause, reconnect, and continue from that spot rather than restarting.
6
Keep weaving for a set number of loops around all the poles to finish the dance.
