Königrufen

Cards are dealt out to all four players along with a small hidden 'talon' set aside on the table.

Players bid for the right to become the declarer, who may exchange cards with the talon to improve their hand.

The declarer calls out a specific king from a suit they do not hold, and whoever holds that card becomes their silent partner without revealing themselves.

Players then play tricks in turn, following suit when possible and using the numbered trump cards to win tricks when they cannot follow suit.

After all tricks are played, the declarer's team counts the point value of the cards they captured, and points are awarded or deducted based on whether they reached the required total.
