Jogo do Pião

Wind the string tightly around the top, starting at the point and working up to the body.

Hold the top in your throwing hand and pull the string sharply while releasing the top so it spins on the ground.

Try to keep your top spinning the longest, or aim it to knock other players' spinning tops out of a chalked circle.

If playing the knockout version, mark a circle on the ground and have everyone launch their tops inside it at the same time.

Any top that stops spinning or is knocked outside the circle is out of that round.

The last top still spinning inside the circle wins the round.
