Jacks

PLAYERS
1-4, taking turns
DIFFICULTY
SETTING
Indoor
MATERIALS
- A set of 10 jacks (small six-pointed pieces)
- A small bouncy ball
HOW TO PLAY
1
Scatter the jacks loosely on a flat, hard surface.
2
Toss the ball up with one hand, and before catching it again, scoop up one jack from the ground with the same hand.
3
Catch the ball after it bounces once (or in the air for a harder version) while keeping the collected jack in your hand.
4
Repeat, picking up two jacks on the next round, three the round after, increasing the count each round.
5
A player who fumbles the ball, misses a jack, or knocks other jacks out of position loses their turn.
6
The first player to successfully complete the highest agreed round (commonly up to "tens") wins.
