MATERIALS
- A 100-square checkered board (10x10)
- 20 flat playing pieces per player in two colors
HOW TO PLAY
1
Set up each player's 20 pieces on the dark squares of the three rows closest to them, leaving the middle two rows empty.
2
Move pieces diagonally forward one square at a time, or jump diagonally over an adjacent enemy piece into an empty square to capture it.
3
Chain multiple captures together in a single turn whenever another jump is immediately available.
4
Capturing is mandatory whenever it's possible, and you must choose the capture that takes the most pieces if more than one option is available.
5
When a piece reaches the far row, crown it as a king, which can then move and capture diagonally across any number of empty squares in a straight line.
6
A player wins by capturing all of the opponent's pieces or by leaving them with no legal move.
