MATERIALS
- A wooden stick called a hurley for each player
- A small hard leather ball called a sliotar
- Two H-shaped goals
MEASUREMENTS
Field roughly 130-145 meters long with an H-shaped goal at each end
HOW TO PLAY
1
Divide into two teams and set up an H-shaped goal frame at each end of the field.
2
Use the flat hurley stick to strike, carry, and pass the sliotar down the field toward the opposing goal.
3
Players may also catch the sliotar briefly in hand or balance it on the hurley while running.
4
Score three points by hitting the sliotar into the netted lower goal, or one point by sending it over the crossbar between the posts.
5
Opponents may block or dispossess the ball carrier using the hurley within the agreed rules of contact.
6
The team with the higher combined point total at the end of play wins the match.
