- Chalk (or tape indoors)
- A small stone or beanbag to toss
MEASUREMENTS
8-10 squares, each about 12in x 12in (30 x 30cm), single-double-single pattern ending in a curved home square.
HOW TO PLAY
1
Draw the hopscotch grid on pavement with chalk.

Toss your marker into square 1 without touching a line.

Hop through the course, one foot for single squares, both feet for side-by-side squares, skipping the square with your marker.
4
At the end, turn around and hop back, picking up your marker on the way.
5
Step on a line, miss a square, or lose balance and your turn ends.
6
First to complete the full numbered course wins.
