- A checkered board
- One king piece
- Defender pieces
- Attacker pieces (roughly double the defenders)
MEASUREMENTS
A board typically 11x11 or 13x13 squares, with the king starting on the center square.
HOW TO PLAY

The king and a small group of defending pieces start in the center of the board, surrounded by a larger ring of attacking pieces.

Pieces move any distance along a straight row or column, similar to a rook in chess, but never diagonally.

A piece is captured when an opponent traps it between two of their own pieces on opposite sides, horizontally or vertically.

The defending side wins if the king reaches any edge square of the board.
5
The attacking side wins by surrounding the king on all four sides before it can escape.
