- Three to five small round objects, traditionally tui tui nuts, or small balls or beanbags as a substitute
HOW TO PLAY
1
Start by tossing two small objects in a simple alternating pattern from hand to hand.
2
Once comfortable, add a third object, tossing it into the pattern as soon as your hand is free.
3
Keep your tosses at a consistent height so you have time to catch and release smoothly.
4
Practice adding a small hip sway or knee bend in rhythm with the tosses, as is traditional in this dance-like style of play.
5
Try adding a fourth or fifth object once the basic pattern feels steady.
6
Challenge another player to a side-by-side round to see who can keep their pattern going longest without a drop.
