HOW TO PLAY
1
Deal all 52 cards evenly, 13 to each player.
2
Before play, each player passes 3 chosen cards to a neighboring player, rotating the pass direction each hand.
3
The player holding the two of clubs leads the first trick; players must follow the suit led if able.
4
Hearts cannot be led until a heart or the queen of spades has been played in an earlier trick ("breaking hearts").
5
Each heart collected in tricks won counts as 1 penalty point, and the queen of spades counts as 13 penalty points.
6
Play multiple hands until a player reaches an agreed point limit, often 100; the player with the fewest points at that point wins.
