HOW TO PLAY
1
One player takes the role of the hakawati, the storyteller, and sits slightly apart from the group.

The storyteller begins a tale in a dramatic voice, often set at a coffeehouse-style gathering.

At a suspenseful point, the storyteller pauses and asks the listeners to guess what happens next.

Listeners call out their guesses, and the storyteller works the funniest or cleverest guess into the next part of the tale.

The circle continues until the storyteller brings the tale to a satisfying close.
