MATERIALS
- A long stick (danda)
- A short tapered stick (guli)
- A small hole in the ground
HOW TO PLAY
1
Rest the short tapered stick across a small hole so tapping one end pops it into the air.
2
Strike the airborne short stick with the long stick to hit it as far as possible into the field.
3
Fielders try to catch the short stick before it lands to end the batter's turn immediately.
4
If not caught, the batter estimates a distance and must successfully strike the long stick across that distance in a set number of hits to score, or the turn passes.
5
Players take turns batting and fielding, and total distances or scores are compared to decide the winner.
