MATERIALS
- A lightweight paper kite per player
- Kite string coated with a ground-glass paste for cutting power
HOW TO PLAY
1
Each flier launches their kite into the open sky, letting out string to gain height.
2
Fliers steer their kites to cross strings with an opponent's kite in the air.
3
Once strings are crossed, both fliers saw their string back and forth quickly to try to cut through the other's line.
4
The kite whose string gets severed goes drifting free, and is considered lost.
5
Bystanders on the ground often chase after the falling loose kite to claim it as a prize.
