Go (Weiqi)

Players alternate placing stones on the intersections of the grid, black moving first.

Surrounding an opponent's stone or group on all open sides captures it.

Stones cannot be moved once placed, only captured and removed.

Players pass when they have no beneficial moves left; two consecutive passes end the game.

Territory (empty points surrounded) plus captured stones are counted; the higher score wins.
