Gasing

Wrap the cord tightly around the grooved body of the top.

Hold the top firmly and throw it forward while sharply pulling the cord to set it spinning.

Players scoop their spinning top onto a small wooden platform or paddle to keep it going without touching it by hand.

In a timing contest, the player whose top keeps spinning the longest on the platform wins that round.

In a striking contest, players take turns launching their top at a rival top already spinning in a marked circle, aiming to knock it out or stop its spin.

Points are awarded per round based on spin duration or successful strikes, and the highest total after an agreed number of rounds wins.
