Each player bends stiff wire into the frame of a small toy car, complete with a steering handle that extends upward.

Bottle caps or carved wooden discs are fixed on as wheels so the car can roll freely.

Builders test and adjust their cars, straightening wire and tightening joints for a smoother ride.

For races, players push their cars along a dirt track using the steering handle to guide them around bends.

The car that completes the course fastest, or holds together best over rough ground, is declared the winner.
