MATERIALS
- A carved wooden board with two rows of six pits
- Small stones or seeds as counters
HOW TO PLAY
1
Begin with an equal number of stones, usually four, placed in every pit along both rows.
2
On your turn, empty one pit from your row and drop its stones one by one into the pits that follow going around the board.
3
Landing your last stone in a pit that ends with two or three stones total lets you capture that pit's contents.
4
Some local versions allow chaining backward through consecutive capturable pits in a single turn.
5
The round ends when one player's row is emptied, and the player with more captured stones wins the round.
