French Tarot

Deal all cards, setting aside a small hidden pile called the dog.

One player bids to become the taker, promising to score enough points with the trump suit's help.

The taker exchanges cards with the dog to strengthen their hand before play begins.

Play tricks clockwise, following suit when possible and using trumps to win otherwise.

At the end, tally card points collected in won tricks to see whether the taker met their bid.
