A cross-shaped layout of connected points, typically with 33 total positions.

HOW TO PLAY
1

Set up the geese filling the points on one arm and the center of the cross, with the fox placed alone near the opposite end.

2

The geese player moves one goose per turn to an adjacent empty point, only ever moving forward or sideways, never backward.

3

The fox player moves one point per turn in any direction, and may jump over an adjacent goose into an empty point beyond it to capture that goose.

4

The geese win if they trap the fox so it has no legal move or jump remaining.

5

The fox wins if it captures enough geese that the remaining geese can no longer trap it.

6

Agree beforehand on the exact number of geese needed for a fox victory, since this varies by region.
