Choose one player to be the catcher using a quick counting-out rhyme.

Agree on the boundaries of the play area before starting.

The catcher chases the others, trying to tag someone with an open hand.

The tagged player instantly becomes the new catcher.

Optional: allow one or two safe spots where a player briefly cannot be tagged.
