First Steps Countdown Board

Hang the poster board where guests will pass it throughout the party.

Each guest writes a guess for when the child will reach an upcoming milestone, such as first words or first steps, on a sticky note.

Guests place their sticky notes along the timeline at the point they predict the milestone will happen.

The parents keep the board after the party and check back in as milestones actually occur.

Whichever guest's guess ends up closest to the real date can be recognized at a future gathering.
