Dwile Flonking
D
PLAYERS
2 teams of 6-12
DIFFICULTY
SETTING
Outdoor
MATERIALS
- A cloth or rag (the "dwile")
- A broom handle or wooden pole
- A bucket of beer or cider
- Music or a drum for the dancing team
HOW TO PLAY
1
Divide players into two teams, and have one team join hands in a circle while music plays.
2
A player from the other team, the "flonker," stands in the center holding a pole with the beer-soaked dwile draped on the end.
3
The circling team dances around the flonker while the flonker spins and swings the pole to flick the dwile at them.
4
If the dwile strikes a dancer, that dancer is out and must drink a penalty cup; if the flonker completes a full spin without hitting anyone, the flonker drinks instead.
5
Teams swap roles once everyone in the circle has been flonked at or the circle has been completed, and the side with fewer drink penalties wins.
