Contests take place within a circle approximately 6m in diameter.

HOW TO PLAY
1

Two competitors begin at the center of a marked circular ring, standing chest to chest without an initial grip.

2

On the signal to start, each competitor tries to grapple, off-balance, and force the other either to touch three points of their body to the ground or to step outside the circle's boundary.

3

Strikes, punches, and kicks are not allowed, keeping the contest focused purely on grip, leverage, and footwork.

4

A fall is scored the moment three points of an opponent's body, such as two knees and a hand, touch the ground at once.

5

Pushing or pulling an opponent entirely outside the ring's boundary line also counts as a win for that exchange.

6

Matches are often contested as a best-of-three series, with competitors resetting to the center between falls.
