Chula and Pakpao (Thai Kite Duel)
- A large star-shaped Chula kite
- A smaller diamond-shaped Pakpao kite
- Flying line for each
Flown over a large open field divided by a center line between the two teams.
Divide the field with an imaginary center line, with the large Chula team on one side and the nimble Pakpao team on the other.
Launch both kites so they fly over the shared airspace above the dividing line.
The Chula team tries to snag and drag the smaller kite across into their territory using hooks trailing from their line.
The Pakpao team tries to dodge, dive, and loop around the larger kite, aiming to loop their line around it and pull it down.
A kite pulled across the opposing line, or brought down onto the wrong side, scores a point for the team that caused it.
Play continues for an agreed number of rounds or until one side scores enough points to be declared the winner.
