Chou Tuoluo (Whip Top)

Wrap the cord of the whip around the top's body and give it a sharp snapping throw to set it spinning on the ground.

Once the top is spinning, strike it repeatedly with the whip's cord to keep its speed from dying down.

Aim each whip strike near the base of the top so the momentum is added without knocking it off balance.

In group play, players can spin their tops toward a marked circle and try to knock rivals' tops outside the line.

The winner is whoever keeps a top spinning the longest or clears the most opposing tops from the circle.
