Chol Chhoung

Split into two lines facing each other with open space between them.

One team sings and dances while a chosen thrower tosses the rolled scarf toward the opposing line.

Players on the receiving line try to catch the scarf; if it lands untouched, the nearest player is tagged out.

The tagged player must retrieve the scarf and throw it back, trying to hit a fleeing opponent before they reach safety.

Teams take turns throwing and switch roles, with singing and dancing continuing between throws.

The game traditionally accompanies Khmer New Year celebrations as a community and courtship activity.
